As an Aussie, I love the sun. I grew up going to the beach and long walks in the wilderness.

Unfortunately I also grew up with a family haunted by skin cancer. Both my grandparents had melanomas and it eventually took my grandpa from me.
I also watched as my mum lost half her nose and half her ear to melanoma.

It was so ingrained in my family, I was scared.

Also ingrained in me though is a love of classic style and fashion. I have been obsessed with hats since I was a young child. My Great Grandmother was a successful milliner in Western Australia, I've been surrounded by statement hats all my life.

When I created Mason Hats, it really was my two worlds colliding. I wanted to create something that was going to provide great protection from the sun, but that didn’t compromise on style.

Joined by my husband Jaye, Mason Hats has become a popular Australian hat label showcasing classic and timeless designs for men, women and kids with every hat is hand finished right here in Tasmania.
